All applications for our positions are received online. Select the specific position you are interested in and click apply. If you have not applied with Anglicare before and do not have an account with us, you will need to create a new account before you can apply.

Anglicare’s online recruitment system changed on 21 December to enhance the experience for all our applicants.

Where you are seeking to lodge an application for a paid or volunteer position at Anglicare Sydney from 21 December 2015, you are required to create a new profile. To do this, click on the position you wish to apply for and select ‘Apply now’. You will then be asked to enter your email address and to agree to the Privacy Statement. You must then click ‘Next’ and follow the prompts to upload information into your profile. Any future applications will require you to enter your email address and password associated with this profile in order to view and submit an application form, unless advised otherwise at a future date.

If you try to enter your login and password details used for applications submitted with Anglicare prior to 21 December 2015, this will not work and you are likely to experience an error message. Therefore, we encourage you to create a brand new profile in the system and to use your username.

We request that all applications are submitted online. This ensures that your application is processed and reviewed in the most efficient manner and that if you are suitable for a different position within Anglicare, we can notify you accordingly.

No, our applications do not have a closing date. We review applications soon after they have been received. We encourage all candidates to apply for a position they are interested in immediately.

Yes, the position is no longer available. Because we advertise on other external job boards, sometimes there is a chance that they keep it up on their page longer than we do. If you would like to get the most updated information, we encourage you to register for a job alert and check our careers page directly.

You will be able to confirm that you have successfully submitted your job application online by viewing it in your profile page. You will also receive an email from Anglicare advising you that your application has been received. Please ensure to check your “junk” folders.

Once you have submitted your application, it will be reviewed by a member of the Recruitment Team and/or the hiring manager within a reasonable timeframe. You will then be notified of the next steps of the recruitment process either by email or phone, or will be notified of the outcome of your application.

Once you have submitted a job application, a member of the Anglicare Recruitment Team and/or recruiting manager will review and assess your application. If your application meets the relevant selection criteria, your application will be shortlisted for further consideration.

Anglicare may then conduct any or all of the following as part of our recruitment process:
  • Telephone interview
  • Face-to-face interview(s)
  • Background checks
    These can include (but are not limited to) referee checks, visa/work rights checks, criminal history checks, Working with Children checks, psychometric tests, medical assessments, and obtaining evidence of your qualifications and relevant licences if appropriate to the position you have applied for.
  • Provide you with an offer of employment
    If you are the successful candidate, we will contact you to discuss your position, work conditions, salary/hourly rate and commencement date, and provide you any additional information that will be helpful for your new role.
    Once agreed, an official offer of employment will be made in writing to you.

If you have been unsuccessful for a position you have applied for, you will be notified either in writing or verbally of your application outcome. You will have the opportunity to seek constructive feedback and an explanation of why you have not been successful in the position. Contact details will be provided to you to seek this feedback.
